PRIMER: A JOURNEY

Primer was founded in the 1980s, at a time when Lebanon had been devastated by years of civil war. The founders, inspired by the ancestors' history as a small-scale contractor running a workshop for industrial parts, dreamed of starting from scratch to build their own business and play their part in the country’s reconstruction.

Primer began with just an asphalt plant, a small team of road specialists and a dream. Now, with over 3,000 direct and indirect members, in numerous locations throughout Lebanon and internationally, Primer has become a market leader in everything from infrastructural works to the construction and restoration of buildings, from environmental to oil and gas services. We have invested in capacity at every stage of the chain, from the production of construction materials to building and operating technically advanced facilities such as polymer-asphalt emulsion plants and composting centers. By integrating upstream and downstream capabilities, we can maximize efficiency while controlling quality. We have also developed expertise in an array of services, including the waste sector and oil and gas services, and our area of operations has expanded across the region.
